It is sad to report that our most beloved and revered fellow horseshoe pitcher, Dexter Stallings, has passed away. He died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Parkwest Medical Center. As many of you know, his strong leadership in the THPA was the sinew that held us together for half a century. He attended and conducted hundreds of horseshoe tournaments over the years, and had one period of 28 years without missing a tournament. His accomplishments are many and the THPA will be publishing a history of his achievements. Dexters family will receive friends Friday 5:00-7:00 pm at Weavers with chapel service to follow at 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet 11:45 am Saturday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 12:00pm interment. For more information go to www.weaverfuneralservices.com.
